Commercial Real Estate Mortgage Broker

Position Summary:

This position will be responsible for building a book of business through telesales and individual meetings, as well as partnering with existing Investment Sales brokers to close business. The role will also focus on facilitating and assisting in the management of direct lead generation through the entire loan cycle. Specific training, metrics, goals, and ongoing support will be established to maximize growth leading to success.

Responsibilities and Engagement:

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Source and close new business through telesales, networking, and conducting local meetings
  • Demonstrate success in winning new business by partnering with Investment Sales brokers to capitalize on their experience and relationships to add credibility to Ariel’s presentation
  • Manage and track all leads for progress
  • Develop client relationships for future business
  • Function as the point person on specific deals
  • Review sizing workbooks to develop stronger understanding of deal sizing
  • Expand knowledge of all product lines
  • Exhibit sophistication in analyzing and entering data from cash flow statements, rent rolls, and borrower financial statements in order to determine a project’s ability to qualify for financing
  • Project manage deal submissions and timelines through the various stages of the loan process from screening through closing while regularly engaging and interacting with the borrower to foster relationships

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of work experience in either sales or service oriented businesses; experience in Commercial Real Estate preferred
  • Record of sales success preferred
  • Interpersonal skills - strong listening, speaking, writing and presentation skills
  • Disciplined, focused and team oriented
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, self-starter
  • Eagerness and temperament to participate in a fast paced/high volume work environment
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word; willing to learn new software as needed
  • Bachelor’s Degree required, preferred concentration in Real Estate, Economics, Finance, Marketing or other business related fields
  • NYS Real Estate License

Investment Sales Broker

Position Summary:

The Investment Sales Professional at Ariel originates, executes and manages the marketing process of exclusive investment sales property listings. Candidates will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with investment property owners, delivering exceptional execution for exclusive listings and building an expertise of the New York City real estate market.

The person chosen for this role must be extremely detail oriented with an analytical mindset, possess the ability to succeed within a sales environment, and have the capacity to stay calm under fire while maintaining a positive, can-do attitude.

  • Industry Expert: become the information expert for the Company and Industry in that Geographic Core Area and build and maintain relationships with the investment property owners within it
  • Team up with Partners and Senior Brokers to leverage existing relationships throughout New York City
  • Leverage Ariel’s Investment Research team to add continuous advisory value to current and potential clients

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of work experience in either sales or service-oriented businesses, experience in Commercial Real Estate preferred but not required
  • Record of sales success preferred
  • Interpersonal skills – strong listening, speaking, writing, and presentation skills
  • Disciplined, focused, and a true team player
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, self-starter
  • Eagerness and temperament to participate in a fast-paced/high volume work environment
  • Bachelor’s Degree required, preferred concentration in Real Estate, Economics, Finance, Marketing or other business-related fields
  • Shows ability to source and build a book of clients for long-term growth
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
  • NYS Salesperson License (must be obtained within first 30 days from start date)

  • Shows ability to source and build a book of clients for long-term growth
  • Demonstrates continued development through metrics, goal achievement, peer feedback
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Adopts and effectively utilizes Salesforce.com as part of business model
  • Strong analytical, organizational, written, and oral communication skills are necessary
  • Demonstrates ability to effectively execute telesales
  • NYS Salesperson License (or willingness to obtain)
