Gail Mitchell Donovan is the Senior Director of Communications for Ariel Property Advisors. In this role, she is responsible for developing and executing Ariel Property Advisors’ communications strategies and overseeing all published content.
Ms. Donovan first joined Ariel Property Advisors as Director of Communications when the firm was founded in 2011. She also has held a variety of communications and marketing positions at other commercial real estate firms, including Avison Young and Eastern Consolidated, and at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. In addition, she was the Founder and Principal of her own public relations and marketing firm, Donovan Communications and worked as a reporter, editor, and columnist for publications in Brooklyn and Oklahoma City.
She earned her master's degree in Latin American and Caribbean Studies from New York University, and a bachelor's degree in Journalism from the University of Oklahoma.
Ms. Donovan plays a significant role in Ariel’s community outreach programs, including the Chapin and Legal Outreach Internship Programs and other activities. She previously served as President of the Junior League of Brooklyn, as a member of the Board of Directors and Treasurer for Graham-Windham Services to Families and Children, as President of the University of Oklahoma's Alumni Club of Greater New York and as a volunteer with many non-profit organizations in Brooklyn.
She is the recipient of Bisnow’s award honoring women professionals for Outstanding Excellence & Influence in New York Commercial Real Estate; the University of Oklahoma Regents' Award for Dedicated Service; and she was honored by the Crown Heights Youth Collective at the Brooklyn organization's 25th anniversary gala.
