February Coffee & Cap Rates℠
On February 5th, over 200 real estate professionals gathered at TD Bank’s Conference Center at One Vanderbilt for Ariel Property Advisors’ Coffee & Cap Rates event,
‘Investment Trends in New York City’s CRE Market’.
Shimon Shkury, President and Founder of Ariel Property Advisors, opened the program with an overview of New York City’s investment sales market, highlighting key insights from the firm’s newly released end-of-year 2024 research reports.
Ralph Bumbaca, Regional President – Metro New York for TD Bank, moderated the panel of affordable housing experts: Eli S. Weiss Principal, Joy Construction; Tell Metzger, SVP, Equity Investments, Community Preservation Corporation; and Brendan McBride, Senior Development Director, Gilbane Development Company.
Each panelist shared their unique perspective on New York City’s commercial real estate market, with a particular focus on new housing policies and opportunities in the affordable multifamily sector.
As with previous Coffee & Cap Rates, Ariel will be donating all proceeds to Legal Outreach, a nonprofit that helps young people from underserved New York communities gain admission to the country's most competitive colleges and universities.
Coffee & Cap Rates is a semi-annual program. The next event will take place in July 2025.
