Director - Capital Services


This position will be responsible for building a book of business through telesales, individual meetings and partnering with Ariel Investment Sales brokers to close business. The role will focus on facilitating and assisting in the management of direct lead generation through the entire loan cycle. Specific training, goals setting, mentoring and ongoing support will be established to maximize growth leading to success.

Responsibilities and Engagement

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Source and close new business through telesales, networking and conducting local meetings
  • Demonstrate success in winning new business by partnering with Ariel Investment Sales brokers to capitalize on their experience and relationships to add credibility to Ariel’s presentation
  • Manage and track all leads for progress
  • Develop client relationships for future business
  • Function as the point person on specific deals
  • Review sizing workbooks to develop stronger understanding of deal sizing
  • Expand knowledge of all product lines
  • Exhibit sophistication in analyzing and entering data from cash flow statements, rent rolls, and borrower financial statements in order to determine a project’s ability to qualify for financing
  • Project manage deal submissions and timelines through the various stages of the loan process from screening through closing while regularly engaging and interacting with the borrower to foster relationships
  • Engage in networking activities and actively participate in local leadership initiatives to strengthen community relationships

Qualifications:

Required:

  • 3+ years of work experience in either sales or service-oriented businesses
  • Strong listening, speaking, writing and presentation skills
  • Disciplined, focused and team oriented
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, self-starter
  • Eagerness and temperament to participate in a fast paced, high volume, commission-based work environment
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word; willing to learn new software as needed
  • Bachelor’s Degree required (preferred concentration in Real Estate, Economics, Finance, Marketing or other business-related field)

Preferred:

  • Experience in Commercial Real Estate
  • Experience in mortgage brokerage/lending
  • Record of sales success
  • NYS Real Estate License
