Associate - Capital Services


We are currently seeking an Associate in our Capital Services Division. The primary function of the Associate is to assist with executing financing solutions for our institutional and private clients. Candidates will be responsible for maintaining relationships with investment property owners, delivering exceptional customer service and developing an expertise of the New York City real estate market. The role will also focus on facilitating and assisting in the management of direct lead generation through the entire loan cycle. Specific training, metrics, goals, and ongoing support will be established to maximize growth leading to success.

The person chosen for this role must be extremely detail oriented with an analytical mindset, possess the ability to succeed within a sales environment, and have the capacity to stay calm under fire while maintaining a positive, can-do attitude.

Responsibilities and Engagement

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist in managing and tracking all leads for progress
  • Review sizing workbooks to develop stronger understanding of deal sizing
  • Expand knowledge of product lines
  • Exhibit sophistication in analyzing and entering data from cash flow statements, rent rolls, and borrower financial statements in order to determine a project’s ability to qualify for financing
  • Assist in project managing deal submissions and timelines through the various stages of the loan process from screening through closing while regularly engaging and interacting with the borrow to foster relationships

Qualifications:

Required:

  • 0-5 years of work experience in either sales or service-oriented businesses
  • Bachelor’s Degree required, preferred concentration in Real Estate, Economics, Finance, Marketing or other business-related fields
  • Demonstrates continued development through metrics, goal achievement, peer feedback
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Adopts and effectively utilizes Salesforce.com as part of business model
  • Strong analytical, organizational, written, and oral communication skills are necessary
  • Demonstrates ability to effectively execute telesales

Preferred:

  • Experience in Commercial Real Estate and/or Loan Origination
  • NYS Salesperson License

Compensation & Benefits:
