Michael Sellis is an Associate in the Capital Services Group at Ariel Property Advisors, where he specializes in structuring debt and equity solutions for real estate investors, developers, and owners across New York City.
He focuses on arranging financing across the capital stack, including senior debt, mezzanine loans, preferred equity and joint venture structures, and is committed to delivering creative and effective capital solutions tailored to each client’s investment strategy.
Prior to joining Ariel, Mr. Sellis was part of the Debt & Structured Finance Group at Meridian Capital Group, where he worked on complex capital solutions, including bridge loans, construction financing and permanent debt for a range of asset classes. His experience includes navigating intricate capital structures and securing financing for both value-add and ground-up development projects.
Mr. Sellis also has experience in acquisitions and asset management, having managed a portfolio that included multifamily and mixed-use properties. His deep market knowledge, combined with hands-on underwriting experience, allows him to provide data-driven insights and strategic financing solutions.
Mr. Sellis holds a master’s degree in Real Estate from New York University (NYU) and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Pace University where he majored in Marketing and minored in Economics.
