David Baruch is the Head Analyst of the Investment Research Division at Ariel Property Advisors. In this role, he leads a team of analysts who provide sales and research support for the company’s Investment Sales and Capital Services professionals. Mr. Baruch has experience evaluating a variety of property types, including multifamily, development, commercial and mixed-use assets.
Since joining the company in 2013, Mr. Baruch has conducted more than 1,000 asset evaluations totaling over $28 billion. He also plays an instrumental role in the firm’s high-profile and institutional transactions. The data he helps collect is often cited in major news outlets, such as Bloomberg News, the Wall Street Journal, The Real Deal, the Commercial Observer, and the New York Times.
Mr. Baruch’s analysis and reports are widely perceived to be the most accurate in the industry. He regularly creates and updates cash-flow models to reflect the existing sales and regulatory environment and is often recruited by the company’s management to lead seminars about specific topics related to the industry, such as rent regulation and how to analyze the city’s complex development market.
Prior to joining Ariel Property Advisors, Mr. Baruch held business development and analysis positions at various commercial real estate firms, including the Phoenix Realty Group. Academically, he attended Yeshiva University’s Syms School of Business, receiving a B.S. in Finance.
